So here are some pictures from Christmas. Kenya is beautiful by the way. There are a lot of differences though between life in the city and along the coast ........ well as should be.
The contrast of the wild birds against the skyline of the city is everything.
A giraffe at the Nairobi National park. I think it is interesting that there is a National park smack in the middle of the city.
This park is a "must visit " in Nairobi . Really beautiful.
Standing on a sand bank somewhere in the Indian ocean off of Diani beach, Mombasa. At this point the sun had done a number on us already. Sunscreen and visors are essentials out on the beach. The sun is really hot but it is so windy you may not realise you are being scorched by the sun until it is too late.
For a city girl that can't swim, i do love ,love love the water
At "Forty thieves" thought the green bottle arrangement was pretty. Still do
Badly sunburned but hanging with the Maasai's at Forty thieves.
This camel has Obama tattooed onto his neck.
At Ali Boubou's cave. A candle lit cave restaurant carved into a reef with a natural sky light.
Can't let up on the routine even in a place as beautiful as Diani beach
Carnivore restaurant, Nairobi. An "eat all the meat you can" restaurant. You even need to raise a white flag to imply defeat. Extremely jovial staff, good ambiance.... almost forgot, awesome potent cocktails.
